Gladys Barbara Trantham, known to family and friends as Barbara, passed away on August 10, 2018. She resided in Ocala for 17 years before moving to The Villages in 2017. She was born November 22, 1932 in Fall River, Massachusetts.
She was a loving Military wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved to read, knit, play bridge, and paint. She adored her granddaughters, and great granddaughter. During her life, she worked as a Librarian and for the IRS.
She is survived by her two daughters, Deborah of The Villages, Florida Barbara of Newport News, Virginia; granddaughters, Heather, Kristyn, Erin; and a great granddaughter, Eden.
Barbara is preceded by her husband, James; and granddaughter, Courtnie.
A Memorial Service will be held on September 5, 2018 at 12PM at Christ the King Anglican Church, 4440 SE 3rd Avenue, Ocala, FL 34480. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ the King Anglican Church Youth and Children Building Fund, 4440 SE 3rd Avenue, Ocala, FL 34480.
