Ocala man charged with abuse after banging girls head into wall

Timothy Christopher Kuhn

A 54-year-old Ocala man who admitted to banging a girl’s head into a wall was arrested Monday and charged with child abuse.

The juvenile victim told a Marion County sheriffs deputy that she had gotten into trouble at school and Timothy Christopher Kuhn was mad and yelling at her. She said she told Kuhn to stop yelling at her and just talk to her, but he kept yelling at her. The relationship between Kuhn and the victim was redacted from the sheriff’s office report.

The victim said Kuhn punched her in the face, but the deputy did not see any injuries on her face. She also said Kuhn grabbed her head and was “slamming” it into the wall. The victim said Kuhn did this about three times. She said she ran away from Kuhn to a neighbor’s house and called law enforcement, the report said.

The victim said this type of incident has happened in the past, but his girlfriend usually calms him down. She said Kuhn’s girlfriend was not at the incident location during this incident, according to the report.

The deputy went to the incident location and spoke with Kuhn, who said he has been having ongoing issues with the victim getting kicked out of several different schools and sneaking out of the residence at night. He said on the day of the incident, he learned the victim had gotten into trouble at her new school just four days after being enrolled there, the report said.

Kuhn said he was showing the victim some court documents he had prepared in reference to the issues between them and she was “screaming” that he was a liar about what was on the documents. Kuhn said the victim tried to destroy the documents. He said, “That made me mad, so I grabbed a hold of her, grabbed her head and banged it on her wall a couple of times,” according to the report.

Kuhn said the wall was drywall covered with wood, the report said.

Kuhn is being held in the Marion County Jail on $2,000 bond. He will appear in Marion County Jail on Nov. 24.
