Kid Rock expects close to 35,000 people at his upcoming concert in Ocala, saying tens of thousands of tickets have already been sold.
During an appearance on the This Past Weekend w/Theo Von podcast, Kid Rock provided details on his Rock The Country tour, which kicked off earlier this month in Louisiana.
When asked by host Theo Von to elaborate on his choice to visit small towns, the singer said all of the cities were in the “middle of,” before calling out Ocala.
“They’re in the middle of…Like what the [expletive] is going on in Ocala, Florida…There’s going to be close to 35,000 people there,” said Kid Rock, who was born Robert James Ritchie.
He suggested that ticket sales had been scaling in Ocala and had reached close to 29,000 at the time of the podcast, which was released on March 29, 2024. That episode of the podcast was taped in advance.
A multi-Grammy nominee, Kid Rock has sold tens of millions of albums across the world and has released multiple platinum albums. The artist says his fans are “freedom-loving Americans” who want to have a good time.
Rock The Country is a two-day festival that will take place on Friday, June 7 and Saturday, June 8, at Majestic Oaks Ocala, which is located at 17500 N U.S. Highway 441 in Reddick.
The festival aims to bring music “back to its roots” by making stops at “the small towns that make up the backbone of America,” according to the festival’s website.
In addition to headliners Kid Rock and Jason Aldean, the festival in Ocala will feature performances from Lynyrd Skynyrd, Travis Tritt, Brantley Gilbert, Gavin Adcock, Colt Ford, Sadie Bass, and Elvie Shane.
