Larry Russell Hunt age 84 of Ocala, Florida passed away on MARCH 28, 2024. Larry was born in Indianapolis IN to Norman R Hunt and Imogene Hunt (May) on January 22, 1940. He graduated from George Washington High School in Indianapolis IN and went on to earn a degree in engineering at IUPUI.
He worked as a mechanical engineer in Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee with door hardware and fireproof locks. He was involved with many construction projects, including West Morris Street Free Methodist Church in Indianapolis IN. He made many friends at the Bible study at Community Bible Church in Ocala, FL. He enjoyed all auto sports, gardening, outdoor living, stained glass, and spending time with his wife and family.
He is survived by his wife, Avis; three children: Bryan Hunt (sp. Elizabeth), Bruce Hunt (sp. Christen), and Amy McCullah (sp. Derek); eight Grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and one great/great grandchild; He is preceded in death by his son, Bradley and stepdaughter, Tanya. Larry was also blessed with three stepchildren (Kevin, Renee, and Jim), 18 step-grandchildren, and five step-great grandchildren; Sisters Nancy and Becky as well as many nieces and nephews.
