Michael Joseph Mulheren, age 70, of Silver Springs Florida, originally from upstate New York, passed away suddenly on April 23, 2024, at Grace Davis Hall House of Ocala, Florida.

He was born on November 26,1953 to his parents, Joseph and Catherine (Judd), in Troy, New York.

He was a socially active man who was deeply involved in Photography, both professionally and as a hobby, for the majority of his life. He enjoyed horses and was an avid fan of horse racing. He also enjoyed completing (hundreds) of jigsaw puzzles, spending time with his friends, family, and delighted in his many grandchildren.

Before retiring he worked as an audiologist for several years for Industrial Hearing of MA, traveling around the Northeast US performing required OSHA hearing testing. Because of his vivacious and professional personality he was often specifically requested by many of the company’s clients.

His family and friends will always remember him as a down to earth and caring person who emulated the Good Samaritan. He always made time to help whomever needed it; was a generous man who had a quick wit and loved to laugh and smile infectiously.

Michael is survived by his wife of 3 years (friends for over 20 years), Susan; his son, Joe and his family in Ohio; daughter, Lori of Ohio; his loving step daughters, Katie of NY and Stacey of Florida; his brothers, James of California and Ed of North Carolina; and sisters, Dottie, Cindy, and Mary of NY.

He is preceded in death by his son, Aaron; his parents, Joseph and Catherine; and his brothers, Bob and John of NY.

A Celebration of Life will be held by his family in Troy, New York.

The family would like to thank the many health care personnel who cared for him; especially Nurse Terry in the PICU at HCA of Ocala and the entire loving staff of Grace Davis Hall House Hospice Ocala.
