A woman was arrested after reportedly spraying a man with rug cleaner on Monday in Ocala.
Marion County sheriff’s deputies responded to a residence on SE 39th Ave. and upon arrival, deputies made contact with the victim who advised that earlier in the day, he received a text from 67-year-old Pamela Thomas telling him to come home and that she was tipsy. When he came home, he observed a wooden gate that was broken and asked Thomas what happened. Thomas began arguing with the victim, who tried everything he could to avoid arguing with Thomas. When the victim told Thomas to make a phone call and took her phone, Thomas began hitting him. He then left the residence but returned after receiving a call later in the day that Thomas was locked out of the house. When he arrived at the house, Thomas was already inside and began arguing with him. She splashed him with Gatorade and sprayed him with rug cleaner.
Deputies spoke with Thomas who appeared to be intoxicated and agitated. She denied spraying the victim with rug cleaner, but advised that she might have touched him on his chest with open hands to push him away.
Thomas was placed under arrest and was transported to Marion County Jail.
