A gun threat was reportedly investigated at an Ocala elementary school on Wednesday in Marion County.
A Marion County sheriff’s deputy responded to Shady Hill Elementary School located at 5959 South Magnolia Ave. in reference to a suspicious incident. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the student services manager who reported a second grade student allegedly made a threat involving a firearm to another student.
The manager was made aware of the incident by a paraprofessional present in the cafeteria. The two involved students reported to the front office and were spoken to separately. The manager stated that the two students were sent home and both parents of the students were notified about the incident.
