The city of Ocala is looking for local artists to join together to restore the African American History Mural at Webb Field in the Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Complex.
The mural, which can be seen from the field during this summer’s Levitt AMP Series, is in need of repairs and will be worked on during the coming weeks.
The concert series and painting opportunities will take place each Friday night from 6 to 9 p.m. until August 2. Supplies will be provided as well as a shade tent, water, and entertainment.
Three to five artists are needed to join the mural project each week. Please send an email to artinfo@ocalafl.org as soon as possible if you would like to participate.
