GrowHealthy recently added its name to the list of medical marijuana dispensaries operating in Ocala.
The company, whose parent organization is Ianthus Capital Holdings, Inc., officially opened its doors for business on December 20, 2019.
The dispensary is located at 2370 SW College Road, next door to Olive Obsession and Panera Bread. With the Ocala location, the company now operates 11 total dispensaries across the Sunshine State, including locations in Gainesville and Orlando.
Distinguishing itself from the other local dispensaries, GrowHealthy is open two hours earlier than most of its competitors at 8 a.m., and stays open at least two hours later than most of their competitors to 9 p.m. While most dispensaries close early on weekends, GrowHealthy offers their 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. hours 7 days a week, 363 days a year (the dispensary is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas).
The addition of the new GrowHealthy adds to the growing number of dispensaries that serve Ocala from both within and just without of the city limits. Curaleaf and Surterra are both located along SR 200, while dispensaries like Muv and Trulieve offer delivery options from locations in Gainesville and The Villages.
Dispensaries in the state of Florida dispense medicinal marijuana in a variety of forms, including topical (i.e., creams, lotions), distillate, and flower, to name a few. While many local dispensaries do not allow customers to view their flower before purchase, GrowHealthy provides magnified containers that allow for a thorough inspection.
According to a press release, the company has plans to open more than a dozen additional locations by spring.
