An Umatilla woman was arrested after she allegedly threw a fountain drink at the clerk of a Circle K store in Weirsdale.

A Marion County sheriff’s deputy responded to the store, located at 13873 Hwy. 42, at around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. The victim said a former store employee – Amanda Douglas, 35, of 20271 SE 142nd Place – came into the store and started an argument by accusing the victim’s children of breaking windows in a nearby neighborhood, according to the sheriff’s office report.

The victim said she told Douglas that her children had done no such thing and asked her what she wanted to purchase. She said Douglas told her, “Give me some of those “expletive deleted) blunt wraps.” The victim said Douglas then opened an extra-large “Polar Pop” and threw a dark brown liquid on her, the report said.

The deputy observed the victim’s shirt and pants were wet and there was a brown liquid all over the floor behind the cash register and on the counter tops. Security video showed Douglas showing Gordon throwing a cup full of a brown liquid onto the victim, striking her in the chest and legs, according to the report.

Gordon was located Thursday evening and charged with simple battery. She was taken to the Marion County Jail, where she was released Friday on $1,000 bond.
