An Ocala man who reported his 2009 Jaguar as stolen soon found himself behind bars in the Marion County Jail.
A deputy responded to the 6200 block of N.E. Jacksonville Road and spoke with 40-year-old Marco Arkee Mosby, who claimed that his vehicle had been taken from the location. Mosby gave multiple versions of the incident, which were disproven by the business’ video surveillance cameras, a sheriff’s office report states.
The surveillance video showed Mosby giving the vehicle’s keys to an unknown man who can be seen wrecking the Jaguar in front of the business. Mosby was then placed under arrest and charged with making a false report and possession of marijuana more than 20 grams. He was released on $2,000 bond and his next court date hasn’t yet been set, jail records show.
