Kinga Chin, 83, of Ocala, FL was born Thursday, August 5, 1937 in Canton, China and passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020. In 1938, the family immigrated to the United States and established their home in Manhattan, New York. The family grew adding four more children. The large family’s life was filled with love and laughter. During the 1950’s, with the passing of both parents, Kinga assumed responsibility for maintaining, nurturing, and continuing the sense of family until adulthood of her four siblings.
Kinga married Tomás Chen on October 5, 1964. Kinga and Tommy had two children and they spent many of the early family years living in Queens, New York. In the summer of 1979, the Chen Family moved to sunny Coral Springs, Florida. Kinga began to take classes in Real Estate and became a licensed Real Estate Agent and Broker in the state of Florida. With her buoyant personality, caring heart, and strong sense of business negotiation, Kinga was very successful. Over the course of her real estate career she helped countless people find their first homes, settle in their retirement homes, and discover the perfect homes to raise their families. In 2004, Kinga and Tommy retired to Ocala, Florida.
Throughout her life, Kinga was known for her deep hearty laughter, amazing sense of humor, and her big sincere smile. Kinga was a warm, loving, and generous mother, always available to help, support, and provide guidance and hugs. When her grandson was born, Kinga became the ultimate loving grandmother – spoiling her grandson with many treats. Kinga loved baking sweet treats, reading, and was always teaching herself new things, such as sewing and knitting. In the early morning hours of Christmas Eve, 2020, Kinga joined her two brothers, Hong and Jimmy, in Heaven. She is survived by her beloved husband, Tomás (Ocala, Fla), their two children Elizabeth Chen Dodson (Freeland, MD) and Richard Chen (Ocala, Fla), and her grandson Benjamin Dodson. She is also survived by her sisters Judy Lui (Nesconsett, NY), and Helen Chin (Ocala, Fla) and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation and service will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 from 9am to 11am in the chapel at Roberts Funeral Home at SR 200, Ocala Florida. Interment will follow at noon at Good Shepard Memorial Gardens at 5050 SW 20th Street, Ocala.
