CarMax, a national car vendor known for their nationwide selection of used cards, has completed construction on their newest location in Ocala.
The facility, whose construction was announced nearly three years ago, is situated at 4989 SW College Road, just north of BMW Ocala and Porche of Ocala.
The company joins a slate of car dealerships that call State road 200 home. In the six mile stretch from SW 16th Avenue (MLK Blvd) to SW 60th Avenue along S.R. 200, there are currently nearly 20 car dealerships, including Deluca Toyota, Jenkins Acura, and Palm Chevrolet, to name a few.
Founded in 1993, CarMax is the largest independent retailer of vehicles in the United States. The company currently operates 225 locations across 41 states, including 22 in Florida (the second highest total after Texas).
The nearest CarMax locations before this were in nearby Gainesville, Orlando, and Jacksonville.
Although the company is listed as “open” through Google Business, no opening date has been announced as of May 31.
