The victim reported he was in a verbal argument with 19-year-old Ian Glover. During the argument, the victim claims Glover kept pushing him. The victim claimed he told Glover to stop or he was going to call the cops, but Glover continued. The victim said this is when he went to get his mother to call 911.

The victim said he had to go outside to get to his mother and when he started to walk outside, Glover followed him and continued to argue. The victim claimed when he made it to his mother’s door, Glover started punching him in the back of the head to where he had to put his hands over his head to defend himself. The victim claimed Glover beat him to the ground, retrieved a pipe from outside, and started beating him with the pipe, according to the sheriff’s report.

The deputy observed several fresh marks all over the victim’s body with a laceration on his right leg and fresh marks on his back, according to the report.

Glover was arrested and transported to the Marion County Jail on June 9.  He was charged with aggravated battery with a set bond at $10,000. A court date is set for July 13 at 9 a.m., jail records show.
