Did you know that farmyard animals are up for adoption through Marion County Animal Services?

Located at 5701 SE 66th Street in Ocala, the Marion County Animal Center is currently providing temporary shelter to over 150 animals. Although the vast majority are domesticated dogs and cats, a few of the residents are farmyard friendly.

That includes three male pigs that have moved into the shelter in recent weeks. The pigs, which are black, red, and white, are of unknown age.

At times, the shelter has seen a variety of additional farmyard animals, including chickens and goats, among others.

The center offers tips and information for the care of special animals through its website, as well as an idea of associated pet ownership costs.

For more information on these animals, the center’s services, or to search through the center’s list of animals up for adoption, visit the Marion County Animal Services Adoption webpage.
