A new VA Outpatient Clinic is nearing completion of its southwest Ocala location.
After breaking ground in June 2020, major construction of the new 60,000 square foot building took around a year to complete and crews are currently putting the final touches on the clinic.
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs North Florida/South Georgia division has been regularly posting progress photos of the construction of the facility.
“As of June 14, Phases 1 & 2 of the project are substantially complete. They are installing flooring in Phase 3 and dropping ceiling tiles in both Phase 3 & 4,” reads a post from the organization.
The new clinic will offer a wide variety of services, including primary care, mental health care, audiology optometry, specimen collection, and telehealth services.
Ocala Investors, LLC is the developer and owner of the property, which is located directly behind RaceTrac, Bojangles, and Culver’s, which is under construction.
The primary contractor in charge of the project is the Doster Construction Company.
Although an opening date has not yet been announced, when it does open, the Ocala VA Clinic will operate Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
