Three people were taken to a local hospital and one was trauma alerted after a vehicle crashed into a pole on I-75 yesterday morning.

At around 9:30 a.m. on October 31, Ocala Fire Rescue units responded to a single vehicle crash on I-75 North near mile marker 353.

Engine 4, Rescue 4, Battalion Chief 11, and a safety officer arrived on scene to find a black car on the side of the road with a concrete light pole on top.

The vehicle’s three occupants were out of the vehicle.

The engine crew doused the vehicle with water to avoid any possibility of flames while the rescue crews tended to those involved in the crash.

All three of the vehicle’s occupants were transported to the hospital, and one of them was trauma-alerted, according to the report.

Marion County Fire Rescue and the Florida Department of Transportation also responded to the scene of the crash.

The names of those involved in the crash were not released.
