A one-woman equine art exhibit is opening in Ocala this week.
‘Horses with Long Legs’ by artist Cara Van Leuven opens on Friday, January 7 with a reception at Marion Cultural Alliance’s Brick City Center for the Arts (23 SW Broadway Street) from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
The reception will include appetizers, drinks, and equine-themed activities.
The horses in Van Leuven’s oil paintings have long legs which “reflect their fragility and the fragility of life,” according to the artist.
The gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission to the gallery is free and open to the public.
