A road closure will be in effect on E Fort King Street, between SE Alvarez and SE Watula, due to utility installation for the Watula Townhomes project.
This project includes the installation of a potable water main, fire main, and sewer service with the inclusion of a manhole.
The road closure begins on Monday, February 28 through Friday, March 11. All necessary devices will be in place to redirect traffic in the area.
Construction will take place on Mondays through Fridays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. During construction times, drivers may experience delays, noise, dust, and heavy equipment within the project area.
Drivers should use the following detour routes:
- Eastbound detour: Turn right onto SE Watula Avenue, left onto SE 2nd Street, left onto SE Alvarez Avenue, and then back onto E Fort King Street.
- Westbound detour: Turn left onto SE Alvarez Avenue, right onto SE 2nd Street, right onto SE Watula Avenue, and then back onto E Fort King Street.
