A multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 75 in Marion County sent two people to the hospital on Thursday evening.

According to Ocala Fire Rescue, shortly before 7:20 p.m., OFR units consisting of Engine 4, Rescue 1, Battalion Chief 11, and a Safety Officer were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision on I-75 Northbound.

Upon arrival at the scene of the accident, crew members observed five vehicles that were parked along the shoulder of the road near the off-ramp for exit 350. OFR stated that the vehicles all sustained damage ranging from minor to moderate.

Two occupants from one of the vehicles involved in the accident were transported to a local hospital for a medical evaluation. No other injuries were reported, according to Ocala Fire Rescue.

Marion County Fire Rescue also responded to the scene of the crash.
