Phyllis Ianthy Reece, age 89, passed away on January 17th, 2023 in Ocala, Florida.
Born August 9, 1933 in Barbados, West Indies, Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Evelena Moore, brother Noel “SonSon”, and sister Pearl Moore, and husband, Alphonse Reece.
She was blessed with five children — Jeffrey, Michael, Algernon, Peggie, and Sherrell — whom she leaves behind to mourn her passing, along with several nieces and nephews and numerous grand and great grandchildren.
Phyllis’ family and friends knew her as a beautiful, kind-hearted woman with a young and jovial spirit. From her infectious laugh to her loving nature, she will be forever missed.
The family will be receiving friends on Feb 9th at the Hiers-Baxley Funeral Home, 912 E Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala, FL from 6:00pm to 8:00pm all are welcome to visit and share with the family. Phyllis’s celebration of life service will be held on Friday Feb 10th at 11:00am at the Hiers-Baxley Funeral Home, open to family and friends to share her life.
