Marion County is currently accepting proposals for a grants program that will benefit local agencies that provide alcohol and substance abuse prevention, education, and treatment services.

Agencies interested in the program have until Friday, March 10 to submit their proposals to receive grant funding, which is available through the Marion County Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Trust Fund.

According to Marion County, assistance grants will be awarded to qualifying agency programs based on the following criteria: the length of time the program has been in existence, the program’s success, the number of citizens that are served annually by the program, and the available grant funds.

A total of $25,000 is available for grant awards, and the funds will be provided on a reimbursement basis for programs taking place from October 1, 2023 through September 30, 2024.
