David A. Green of Tavares, Florida passed away on Friday, June 2, 2023.
He was 80. David was born in Los Angeles, California. He proudly served his country in the US Navy in the Vietnam War. Dave worked for DuPont Agricultural Chemicals and retired after more than 30 years of service. He moved to Lake County from Deland in 1985. Dave liked to fly radio-controlled planes, was a talented woodworker and enjoyed playing cards. He had a servant’s heart and volunteered for many organizations. He was also a member of LifePointe Baptist Church of Eustis.
David is remembered and will be dearly missed by his wife of 38 years, Peggy; children, John Christopher (Kelly) Green of Clive, Iowa, Terri (David) Cleaver of Grand Island, Angi (Eddy) Workinger of Orlando, Trace (Jennifer) Latimer of Eustis and Leslie (Roland) Verkaik of Eustis; brother, Dan (Debbie) Green of Cross Plains, Tennessee; sister Donna Witham of Deland; grandchildren, Dylan Green, Zachary Green, Daniel (Marissa) Cleaver, Paul Cleaver, Mark (Lauren) Cleaver, Aryn Biederman, Ally (Austin) Stewart, Jared (Kaitlyn) Biederman, Ashley (Nick) Pierson, Blake Latimer, Austin (Liz) Aldridge, Jeremy Verkaik and Jonathan Verkaik; and 6 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held soon at LifePointe Baptist Church. David’s final resting place will be at Florida National Cemetery.
