Charles Wells Smith
December 17, 1937 – July 16, 2023
Charles Wells Smith was born in Black Rock, Arkansas to Vivian and Bernis Smith on 12-17-1937.
Charles attended Black Rock High School and graduated in 1955 as Salutatorian.
He completed two years of college earning an Associate’s Degree. Charles went on to work as a Business Manager for Con-Agra Foods for 38 years.
Charles’ hobbies were playing golf and fishing. DIY (Do-It-Yourself) projects were also something he enjoyed and was very good at. He was a member of the Masons for 58 years. Charles was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He valued his family above all. In his youth, he enjoyed playing baseball and basketball.
May he rest in peace and live on within the memories of his loved ones. God rest his soul.
Surviving family includes his loving wife, Patricia Ann Smith, of Ocala, FL, children Linda J. Scott, of Wentzville, MO, Glenn Smith, Odessa, MO, Linda Christensen of Dallas, TX and his grandchildren Robert Scott, KC, MO, Billy Scott, Wentzville, MO, Wade Smith, Warrensburg, MO, Taylor Smith, Odessa, MO, Dylan Smith, Odessa, MO, Carson Christensen, Dallas, TX and Parker Christensen, Dallas, TX.
Brother, Don Smith, St. Jacobs, IL, sister Debbie Rodriguez, Knoxville, TN. Niece, Allison Bartle, Belleview, IL.
Preceded in death are father Bernis Smith, mother Vivian Smith, brother Jim Smith, grandparents Charles and Viney Smith, James Newton Wells and Laura Olive Wells.
Funeral services will be Friday 7-21-2023. Viewing will be from 11:00-12:00 with the ceremony service from 12:00-1:00.
Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the E.W. & Lucille Cates Hospice House, Ocala, FL who treated Charles with loving care during his last days of life.
