Juanita L. Mason, 88, formerly of Chelsea Maine, passed away on August 17, 2023, in her home in Silver Springs, Florida.
Juanita was born January 8, 1935 in Hallowell, Maine. Juanita married Harvey Mason Jr. on August 14, 1954 in Gardner, Maine.
A loving and devoted mother, Juanita is survived by her husband Harvey and five of her six children, Diane Richardson of Bellview, Florida; Gerald Mason and wife Terri of Readfield, Maine; Gary Mason of Chelsea, Maine; Sherrie Burr and husband Tim Burr of Poland, Maine; Sally Nichols and husband Steven Nichols of Southport, North Carolina; and nephew Clinton Mason and partner Cathy Barrett of China, Maine. She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren, Amy, Corey, Ashley, Katie, Kasey, Nathan, Kelly, Michael, Ryan, Aaron, Kevin, and Abigail; as well as her many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Whether it was watching the Red Sox play, playing bingo, bowling, or playing cards with friends, Juanita blessed those around her with her warm smile and quick wit. For over 40 years, she was a dedicated caregiver and adult foster care administrator for the Mason Boarding Home.
Juanita is proceeded by her son Terence H. Mason and grandson Matthew Mason. A private celebration of life will be at a later date.
