It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Judith Gabrielle Socci. She went peacefully at home in Ocala, FL on August 23, 2023 with her nurturing and attentive husband of 63 years, Loreto Socci, at her side. To witness their commitment to one another was to get a glimpse of the enduring strength and resilience of unconditional love.

On her 84th birthday, Heaven opened up the gates. The reunion that took place upon her arrival must have been an especially momentous one, with her dear son, Larry, being the first to greet her with the same love, laughter, and music as Judy did in life. She was predeceased by her parents, Richard and Aline Mahoney; daughter-in-law Tammy Socci; brothers Timothy Mahoney and Damien Mahoney; and sisters Aline Spanier and Patricia Wendling.

Judy was one of 12 children, and grew up in a supportive and caring family. She was a devoted wife and mother, a cherished grandmother, and an adored great-grandmother. She led a life filled with joy, faith, and unwavering dedication to her family and friends.

She is survived by her loving husband Loreto, children Daria Perrone, Joe Socci, and Michelle (Jeremy) Maddux; grandchildren Jill Dunn, Anthony Socci, Jack Socci, Leah (Chris) Guthman, Kaylee (Matthew) Bouton, Joey Socci, Hunter Socci, Teagan Maddux, Aryana Maddux, Jewels Maddux, Chloe Maddux, and Hawke Maddux; and great-grandchildren Jordyn Socci, Tyler Dunn, Lucy Dunn, Michael Socci, Emma Socci, Matteo Socci, Mia Guthman, Christopher Guthman, Kennedy Bouton, and Kora Bouton.

She had countless accomplishments throughout her lifetime, but her greatest sense of pride came from the treasured relationships she fostered with those she cared for. She could always be found with a smile, a warm embrace to give, and a story to tell. Whether it was hosting dinner parties, helping to run the family business, baking treats, or organizing events for their church, Judy radiated light in all that she did.

She leaves behind a legacy that will continue on through generations as it calls for all of us to love harder, smile bigger, act with kindness, and delight in all of the beauty that life has to offer. It was an honor to know her, a privilege to love her, and an extraordinary gift to be loved by her. She will be missed immensely.

A memorial mass and celebration of life will be held on a later date.
