A local university that teaches a holistic approach to veterinary care will celebrate the grand opening of a new 9,000-square-foot facility in Marion County at the end of this month.
Chi Animal Hospital will celebrate its grand opening at 9600 W Hwy 318 in Reddick on September 30, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The state-of-the-art animal hospital will feature a wide variety of services, including acupuncture, herbal medicine, rehabilitation, and medical manipulation, among several others.
During the grand opening, the organization will cut a ribbon on their new building, as well as host open house tours and a chance to meet staff.
Multiple pet vendors will be on site and the organization will offer a raffle to benefit the CAH Emergency Relief Fund. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided and free gift bags will also be available for the first 150 families.
“Chi Animal Hospital has been proudly serving our community for the past two years and we are now accepting new patients at our new facility” reads a statement from the company to Ocala-News.com.
Founded in 1998, Chi Institute (which is now Chi University) trains veterinarians in Chinese acupuncture, herbal medicine, food therapy, and Tui-na, among other practices. The organization prides itself on providing a blend of holistic and modern medicine to “provide the best care for your pets,” according to their website.
“At Chi, we recognize that acupuncture is only a part of the larger Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine picture and we strive to capture the breadth of TCVM modalities with our educational courses,” reads a statement from the organization’s website.
