Firefighters were dispatched to a warehouse in southwest Ocala on Saturday morning after receiving reports of a fire.
At around 7:45 a.m., Ocala Fire Rescue units consisting of Engines 1, 2, 3, and 4, Rescue 1, Tower 1, and Battalion Chief 11 responded to a warehouse located in the 2100 block of SW 7th Avenue, according to OFR.
Upon arrival, units located a locked warehouse, and smoke was observed rising from the roof.
OFR crews managed to quickly gain entry into the warehouse, and an interior search revealed that a machine was on fire.
Firefighters quickly doused the flames with water, extinguishing the fire and containing it to the “point of origin,” according to OFR.
A fire investigator and Marion County Fire Rescue units also responded to the warehouse on Saturday morning.
According to Ocala Fire Rescue, the warehouse was unoccupied at the time of the fire, and there were no injuries reported.
