Ocala Fire Rescue is inviting the local community to stop by the Downtown Square on Thursday, November 16, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., to honor the lives of fallen firefighters.
The 15th annual Florida Fallen Firefighter Memorial ceremony will begin at Citizens’ Circle (SE Osceola Avenue) with a Walk of Honor at 7 p.m.
During the parade, Honor Guard teams from throughout the state will walk through the streets of Ocala’s Downtown Square, accompanied by bagpipes and drums.
Following the Walk of Honor, a gathering will be held at Brick City Southern Kitchen (10 S Magnolia Avenue), which is located directly across the street from the Downtown Square.
“This Thursday night is THE NIGHT to spend at Downtown Ocala. We hope you’ll join us to honor the lives of fallen firefighters,” stated Ocala Fire Rescue on its Facebook page.
