A new poker room featuring 33 card tables, a full bar, intertrack wagering, and over 100 televisions has officially opened its doors for business in Ocala.
Ocala Bets celebrated its grand opening earlier this month at 1781 SW 60th Avenue, within the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company compound.
Although the poker room and its associated amenities were built from the ground up, the multi-story building was erected on the property decades ago. It faces the track at OBS, which no longer hosts races.
The top floor of the building was completed and opened over a year ago. The business ran various operations out of that space until reopening the renovated space on the first floor.
The new facility features multiple varieties of poker, including Texas Hold-Em, 7-Card Stud, and Omaha. Games are played with fixed limit, pot limit, and no limit stakes.
In addition to the games, Ocala Bets also features intertrack wagering and over 100 televisions with sports and races playing continuously.
The facility also features full-service dining options with a menu that includes chili, wings, salads, sandwiches, flatbreads, and a variety of other dishes.
Ocala Bets replaces its predecessor, Ocala Gainesville Poker and Jai Alai, which ceased its poker operations on October 28.
No public plans have been announced for that property since its closure.
Ocala Bets’ new facility is open every day from 10 a.m. to 4 a.m. For more information on its services, visit Ocala Bets online.
