A new art exhibit showcasing Marion Cultural Alliance’s 2023 “Best of the Best” artists is now on display in Ocala.
MCA’s first exhibit of the new year, “Creative Champions Collective,” officially opened to the public on Friday, January 5 at the Brick City Center for the Arts located at 23 SW Broadway Street in historic downtown Ocala.
According to MCA, the January exhibit features artwork in various mediums by the nonprofit’s “Best of 2023” award recipients, which include Justin Alsedek, Heather Batchelor, Jessica Carter, Carla Gonzalez, Ellen Hosafros, Kayla Moffatt, Ryan Neumann, Cindy Vener, and Nancy Wright.
The exhibit will remain on display at the Brick City Center for the Arts through Saturday, January 27 during regular gallery hours: Tuesday through Friday (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and Saturday (11 a.m. to 4 p.m.).
Marion Cultural Alliance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that was established in 2001 with its inaugural effort, the Horse Fever public art project.
According to MCA, its mission is to “champion, convene, and create opportunities for artists and arts organizations.” The nonprofit supports activities relating to the arts, historical and scientific museums, and specific education through grants, advocacy, fundraising, and partnerships.
