To the Editor:

I have lived in Ocala for over 15 years. With the influx of people moving here, Marion County is soon to become another Dade, Broward, or Orange County.

What was once beautiful pastures and countryside has now become space for humongous distribution centers, and homes and apartment buildings are going up to accommodate people relocating to this area because of job opportunities.

No one seems to want to stop granting approval for these mega companies. County government only sees the dollar signs for the county. Soon a sign will go up that reads, “Ocala WAS the Horse Capital of the World. It now has become the Distribution Center of the World.”
