February 6, 1943 – February 7, 2024

Stephen Anthony Bongiovanni passed away quietly on February 7, 2024 at the age of 81. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, the former Adele Martin and son Jack. He is also survived by his sister, Dorothy Pietrowicz.

He is predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Mary Semchuk Bongiovanni and twin sister, Connie Ann Paris.

A graduate of CUNY with a degree in Electronic Engineering, he pursued a career in the aerospace industry, retiring from Honeywell International in 2005 as Technical Director of Precision Inertial Instruments, Space Systems. During his time at Honeywell, he served several years on the IEEE Gyro and Accelerometer Panel, GAP, where he drafted, along with other experts, many IEEE standards.

He was incredibly athletic, ever an active man of great stamina who played college baseball, softball and enjoyed robust games of basketball while additionally trying any sport for fun.

Since the age of 12, his love of handwriting analysis led him to become an expert in the field, serving as president of several organizations including SEHA (Southeast Handwriting Association) and in 1998 he launched his website, HandwritingPro.com.

After retiring to Ocala, he continued as a handwriting analyst, providing pro-bono services and contributed to the local community as a board member of the Public Policy Institute of Marion County.
