A new steakhouse in west Ocala is currently in the midst of a soft opening as it prepares to take reservations from the general public next month.
Remington’s Prime Steakhouse is currently hosting a series of soft openings to train staff. Located at 6998 N U.S. Hwy 27, the restaurant plans to begin taking reservations on March 1, according to a social media post.
“We are excited to announce our reservation system via Opentable will go live on March 1st. We are currently training staff. Dining at this time is by invitation only,” reads the statement from the restaurant.
Located within the Golden Hills Shopping Center in west Ocala, Remington’s takes over the space formerly occupied by The Blue Wagyu, which closed its doors in 2022.
Over the past several months, the restaurant has released photos showing construction progress at the space, which is located next door to The Juniper Store.
The menu at the restaurant will feature creations from Chef Randal White, a U.S. Marine with 40 years of culinary experience that began after his service to the country.
Chef White has trained with world renowned chefs and worked as an executive chef at fine dining establishments across Tennessee and Florida.
White’s menu will center around hand-cut Prime steaks that are seasoned with Tellicherry Peppercorns and cooked over a wood-burning grill.
In addition to steaks, the restaurant will offer a variety of fresh seafood, all of which is locally sourced on a daily basis.
When it opens, Remington’s will operate Tuesday through Saturday, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., according to its website.
