Leon Timbo & the Family Band will kick off the Levitt AMP Music Series when it returns to Ocala’s Webb Field on Friday evening.
The group will be joined by opener Theo Moon for a performance on March 15 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the field, which is located at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Recreation Complex (1501 NW 4th Street).
Admission to each concert is free. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own blankets and lawn chairs.
The concert series will run through May 17 and will feature performances from the following groups:
- Friday, March 22 – Streetlight Cadence (Folk Rock) with opener Nicole Equerme.
- Friday, March 29 – Jah Movement (Reggae) with opener Ace Winn.
- Friday, April 5 – Metalachi: The World’s First and Only Heavy Metal Mariachi Band (Heavy Metal Mariachi) with opener El Trio Rosal.
- Friday, April 12 – Clover’s Revenge (Irish Punk) with opener Gainesville Dance Academy.
- Friday, April 19 – Iliana Rose (Cuban Jazz) with opener SeanTMusic Trio.
- Friday, April 26 – Roberta Lea (Country) with opener Noah Hunton.
- Friday, May 3 – Sensational Barnes Brothers (Soul/Gospel) with opener Mwiza.
- Friday, May 10 – Kyshona (R&B/Roots) with opener Jenna Clark.
- Friday, May 17 – The Rumble ft. Chief Joseph Boudreaux Jr. (New Orleans Funk) with opener Central Community Arts Big Band.
