A new boutique has opened in east Ocala, featuring products from local entrepreneurs who are making the transition from pop-ups and online sales to a brick-and-mortar store.
On June 8, The Shoppes On 12th celebrated the grand opening of its location at 23 NE 12th Terrace. The boutique describes itself as a “small business collective” that aims to boost the success of small businesses in the Ocala area.
The company stated on social media that its shelves are stocked full of products from “some of the best local entrepreneurs,” including:
- Takens Tailored Corner LLC – A business specializing in engraved wood, glass and metal products.
- Kimballs Kreations – A resin artist specializing in “all things beachy.”
- Nirvana Dreams Beauty – A handmade cosmetics company featuring high quality plant-based ingredients.
- Brick City Market – A business offering a variety of houseware items ranging from etched colored glasses to hand-dyed tea towels.
- Art and Sage – A crochet artist geared towards animals, and each plush is made by hand.
- Bee Bliss – A company specializing in a variety of body care products that are handmade with locally and personally sourced ingredients.
- Freshen Up Buttercup – A business that sells a variety of “car freshies,” with a handful of scents and shapes to choose from. They also offer bead pens and phone cases.
- Designs by Denise – A jewelry company that offers a variety of handmade pieces, from sparkles to turquoise, as well as large-brimmed hats.
The Shoppes On 12th is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. The business is closed on Sunday and Monday.
