City officials have approved the final plat for a new four-home development on a 1.54-acre lot in the Ocala Historic District.
Ocala City Council members approved the final plat for CampAlto during its regular meeting on Tuesday, July 2. The matter was approved as part of the city’s consent agenda, which requires one vote for all items.
CampAlto is located along SE Ninth Avenue, between SE 5th Street and SE 8th Street. The new community is being developed by Drake Construction Services, a local, family-owned business run by Holland Drake and his sons, Kendall and Dylan.
The final plat, prepared by Moorhead Engineering, shows that the property will be split into two tracts. Tract A will be a privately maintained right of way for access to the individual lots. Tract B will be reserved for parking, utility easements, drainage easements, and a common area for the community.
The tracts will be maintained by a CampAlto Property Owners Association., according to city records.
Last month, CampAlto’s final plat was recommended for approval by the Ocala Planning and Zoning Commission.
In April, Ocala City Council members approved a developer’s agreement for the construction of four 3,600-square-foot, three-story homes on the lot. Each home will be situated on lots between .12 and .14 acres in size.
According to the developer’s agreement, CampAlto’s homes will feature multiple modern amenities including cocktail pools, courtyards, lanais, and even elevators.
