An employee at a Walmart in Ocala who helped a young mother with her groceries before opening her door has gone viral for his chivalrous act.

On Friday, August 9, Jessica M. posted a brief statement on social media about her encounter with the employee at the Walmart located at 2600 SW 19th Avenue Road in Ocala.

According to Jessica, the “young man” that helped her with her groceries that day was “very sweet and kind.” She said the employee, whose name is Joshua, kept “conversation” with the woman as he loaded her trunk “with care and organization.”

“At the end, he began heading to my driver’s side door. I thought it was odd to go all the way around my vehicle, until he smiled and opened the door for me,” said Jessica.

Jessica, who is a mother herself, took time to thank Joshua’s mother for raising him “right.”

“Chivalry isn’t dead, and to whomever raised this man, you did it right,” said Jessica in the post. She continued, saying people like Joshua are what keep the “world turning.”

“[It’s] so refreshing to see there are kind hearts and courteous people still keeping the world turning,” said Jessica.

Although Jessica didn’t catch his name during the initial interaction, Joshua’s mother confirmed his identity on the original post just a few hours afterwards.
