Roads have been constructed and fences are up at Emerson Pointe, a new community under development in northeast Ocala.
Over the past several months, construction crews have installed exterior fences and constructed roadways at the site, which is located south of NE 35th Street and north of NE 28th Street, between NE 19th Avenue and NE 22nd Court.
The developer, D.R. Horton, has shared multiple photos showing amenities and floorplans in the new community, with several one-story and two-story options available.
The concrete-block homes in the community will come furnished with stainless-steel appliances, quartz countertops, smart home systems, ceramic tile flooring, and modern home finishes and fixtures, according to D.R. Horton.
Ocala-News.com first reported work at the site earlier this Spring. At the time, the site had just been cleared.
In addition to the homes, Emerson Pointe will also feature a collection of amenities including a pool, a cabana, a dog park, and a playground.
Emerson Pointe is part of an explosion of residential and commercial development in northeast Ocala, joining several new communities in various stages and at least two new restaurants:
- Millwood Estates is in the midst of building out the rest of its neighborhood nearby
- Puravida received approval to build dozens of homes in the area in June
- Jersey Mike’s celebrated its grand opening at Pearl Britain Plaza
- Breakfast Station is also working on a new location in Pearl Britain Plaza
