A company that sells restaurant products at wholesale prices will open its first location in Ocala next week.

Restaurant Depot will celebrate its grand opening at the Paddock Mall (3100 SW College Road) on Wednesday, November 20.

“We’re thrilled to announce our new location is opening soon! Join us for the Grand Opening on November 20 and be part of the celebration,” reads a statement published online by the company.

The new facility takes over part of the old Sears location at the mall. It is situated next to the new Paddock Market, which is still under construction.

Restaurant Depot sells supplies and equipment to businesses of all sizes in the food service industry.

The company’s products include commercial-grade restaurant equipment, refrigerators, ovens, and food processors, as well as clothing and points of sale.

Although the business typically sells products to businesses and their employees, there are also free single-day passes for the general public.

The location in Ocala will be one of the company’s “Express” stores, which offer fewer products and are slightly smaller than the traditional warehouses.

Restaurant Depot was founded in New York over 30 years ago and currently operates over 130 locations across 33 states, with around 15 locations in the state of Florida. That includes nearby stores in Gainesville, Kissimmee, Tampa, Daytona Beach.

Hours have not yet been released for the Ocala store, but most Restaurant Depot locations open at 7 a.m. and close at 6 p.m. during the week, with varied hours on the weekends.

With its opening next week, Restaurant Depot is one of several new establishments that have joined the Paddock Mall as of late.

In 2024, the mall has seen the additions BM Jewelers, Popeyes, MINISO, Blossom Juicy Bar, Florida Fishin’ Apparel, Windsor, Torrid.

Additionally, a new business is under build out at the former Starbucks, which closed in June.
