Mary Helen Louise Sickle, born on May 4, 1934, in Texas, Maryland, to Mary Thompson & Albert Harmony, passed away peacefully. A dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse, Mary devoted her life to caring for others, leaving a lasting impact on her community.

Mary was the beloved wife of the late Joseph P. Sickle, with whom she shared many cherished years until his passing in 2013. Together, they raised their daughter, Karen M. Sickle, who sadly preceded them in death in 1968. Despite these profound losses, Mary remained a pillar of strength and resilience.

Throughout her life, Mary resided in various towns across Maryland, including Texas, Cockeysville, Baltimore, Mt. Airey, and Glen Burnie. In her retirement, she found solace in the warmth of Punta Gorda and Ocala, Florida, where she enjoyed the company of her sister, Florence Sickle, who survives her.

Mary is survived by Debbie Hill and family, York, PA, Randy Sickle, Ocala, FL, Gena Duncan and family, Maui, HI, Christine Michienzi and family, Washington DC, Susan Sickle and family, Glen Burnie, MD.

Mary’s remains will be cremated and laid to rest at Meadowridge Memorial Park in Elkridge, Maryland. There, she will be interred between her beloved husband and daughter, reuniting the family in eternal peace.

Mary’s life was marked by her unwavering dedication to her family and her profession. Her nurturing spirit and commitment to helping others will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and resilience that will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have been touched by her presence.
