Bernice Diane Ducat, 74 of Belleview, Florida passed away on December 18, 2024, following a lengthy illness. She was born on Born on December 4, 1950 to the late Carl and Bernice Marsh.
Bernice was a graduate of Mayville, NY High School and was employed as a hair stylist, eventually owning and managing her own Salon in Belleview, FL. She loved her customers and getting to know them and their families, as well as the many friends she made along the way. She was an avid bowler in the Ocala area and a devoted bible school teacher at her church in Ocklawaha which brought her great joy throughout the years.
Bernice was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, as well as a special aunt to her niece and nephew. She will be fondly remembered by her family and friends for her kindness and compassion for others with a contagious smile and laugh.
She is survived by her husband, Richard “Dick” Ducat who lovingly cared for her during her final years; sister Julie Burke; two sons: Ron Smith of New York, and Tim Ducat (Stephanie) of Melbourne Florida; two step-children: Ann Nelson (Peter) of Jamestown, NY; and Mike Ducat (Lori) of Lakewood, NY; six grandchildren: Kurt (Tina) Nelson of Boston MA, Emily Nelson of Brockport, NY, Madelyn Nelson of Jamestown, NY, Audrey Ducat of Lakewood, NY, Zoe Angell and Wyatt Ducat of Melbourne, Fl.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Hazel Mobley.
