A new Starbucks just opened in northwest Ocala last week, marking the eighth location for the coffee franchise in the city.
The Starbucks at 2555 NW 46th Terrace officially opened for business on Monday, December 23. The new coffee shop is located at the Shops at Foxwood shopping plaza in the northwest part of the city.
Although the majority of the city’s Starbucks locations are situated along SW College Road/State Road 200 (2710 SW College Road, 4602 SW College Road, 7819 SW College Road, 2000 SW College Road – Target), the newest location continues the franchise’s expansion into all of Ocala’s quadrants.
A seventh location opened in east Ocala just over seven months ago, and in 2021, Starbucks opened a location at 3537 SE Maricamp Road, within the Saddleback Square Shopping Center.
Amidst those openings, another Starbucks shut down operations at the Paddock Mall. That location was managed by a separate company.
Currently, there are over 900 Starbucks franchise locations throughout the state of Florida.
Over the past two years, Ocala has seen the addition of several new cafes and coffee drive-thrus, including Ellianos Coffee, which opened its first location in the city recently, and Biggby Coffee. OLA Coffee Drive-Thru opened two locations in Ocala in 2023. Additionally, Ocala-News.com previously reported that Red Owl Coffee Company, a Georgia-based drive-thru coffee chain, announced plans to expand into Ocala as well.
