Pauline Anastasia Marjorie Neill was called by the Lord peacefully at her home, with family by her side, on Monday, December 16, 2024.

Pauline was born on October 25, 1936 in Kingston, Jamaica to Violet and Oswald Neill. The 3rd child of 6, she is predeceased by her parents and brothers Dennis, John, and Gladstone. Pauline is survived by her sister Doreen and brother Aubyn. She often told her grandchildren stories of growing up in Jamaica with her brothers and sister – the dances, parties, school, even the tussels – all part of growing pains and to let them know she had a rich life before becoming “Grandma” to so many.

As a young woman she was industrious and took on any job available to support herself and her 3 children – Peter (deceased), Angela (Desta), and Harry. Pauline, like so many others during the 1950’s and 60’s, decided to leave Jamaica and pursue her dreams with her children in America – she chose New York. As a

Pauline loved music, dancing, and travel. She was always singing in her garden or paint studio. She also found peace and joy in the process of making things beautiful. Her passport was always current and she made much use of it. Pauline wanted to be remembered as a prayer warrior, for her creativity, as being both loving and giving, laughing a lot and being thankful for everything. She had a divine relationship with God and was blessed with this peace until her death. While living in New York, Pauline was an active member of Bronx Bethany Church of the Nazarine for over 18 years before retiring to Ocala, FL where she was an active member of Wings of Faith Fellowship for over 14 years.

Family was the pivotal essence of Pauline’ s life. She was proud and honoured to be the matriarch, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to our large family. She was an ever-present cornerstone in the lives of her 3 children, 12 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. It was well known that Pauline didn’t play about her grandkids! She did everything she could for them and remained proud of every achievement – big and small. They were her stars – until her very first great-grandson, Dahwit, was born.

Although Pauline had major health issues the last several years, she lived each day to the fullest and enjoyed the moments just as before. She went on a cruise (her favorite way to vacation), visited Disney World, and did new things – like ride in a helicopter and take in the Opera for her birthday. She visited New York and while there she went to her old neighborhood and church, had Jrs Cheesecake, sat in a live taping of her favorite daytime show – The View, and visited with old friends. She went on a glass bottom boat, ate the things that made her happy and on beautiful days she went on long rides and watched the clouds.

Pauline will be forever remembered for her beautiful smile, gentle eyes, caring heart, loving embrace and unconditional love. She has left a permanent mark etched on our hearts and will be supremely missed by her family and friends.
