A former print and sign shop situated on South Pine Avenue, just southwest of AdventHealth Ocala, has just been purchased by the hospital for $1.61 million.
According to a deed filed with the Marion County Clerk of Courts, the old Budget Print Center & Signs business located at 1519 S Pine Avenue was sold by MJO III, LLC, to Florida Hospital Ocala, Inc./AdventHealth Ocala for $1,610,000 on January 17, 2025.
County property records show that MJO III, LLC purchased the property from longtime owners Stephen and Barbara Chancas for $950,000 just a few weeks ago on December 23, 2024. The business at the site officially closed its doors in 2023.
The Chancas purchased the property for $90,000 on October 19, 1999, according to a separate deed filed with the county.
According to state corporate records, MJO III, LLC, is registered to Mark Irvin, who owns Irvin Homes, an Ocala-based luxury home developer.
Irvin Homes’ portfolio includes custom builds in many of Ocala’s premier communities, including Bellechase, Golden Ocala Golf & Equestrian Club, and Jumbolair Aviation Estates, to name a few.
With the acquisition of yet another property along S Pine Avenue, AdventHealth continues to increase its footprint along one of Ocala’s most well-trafficked thoroughfares.
The hospital also owns most of the sites in immediate proximity, with notable exceptions including the properties that house Bagen Law Firm and the Dixie Motel.
Last year, AdventHealth Ocala broke ground on a new Medical Office Building that is situated just north of the old print shop at 1219 S Pine Avenue.
