At 81, I am reconsidering my Ocala retirement because of traffic, massive growth

To the Editor:

I grew up in the Winter Park/Orlando area. In 1985, tired of the excessive traffic, I moved to West Tennessee. Eight years ago, we moved to On Top of the World in Ocala.

This has proven to be a huge mistake.

Traffic on State Road 200, the massive apartment growth, the high cost of insurance and, not to mention, the tremendous growth of On Top of the World, along with the increase in the homeowners’ association fee has caused me to totally rethink my decision.

At 81 years old, it will be difficult to relocate. But with all that changes in Ocala and Marion County, it has become almost a necessity. Sad, sad.
