The Ocala Camellia Society’s annual camellia show is free to attend and will feature floral displays, educational presentations, and plants for sale when it returns to the city this weekend.
The two-day event will be held on Saturday, January 25 (1 p.m. – 5 p.m.), and Sunday, January 26 (9 a.m. – 4 p.m.) at the Fort King Presbyterian Church, which is located at 13 NE 36th Avenue in Ocala.
Members of the public are invited to attend the show and enter their own blooms. Admission to the show and entry for flowers are both free. Entries are accepted from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Saturday and the show will be open to the public after judging both days.
This year’s event will feature hundreds of camellia plants, including more than 50 varieties, with the sale starting at 9 a.m. on both days.
For new exhibitors, experienced club members will be available to help sort, name, and place flowers for judging.
The show will also have floral arrangements on display to showcase camellias, along with educational presentations to highlight the varieties of camellia and proper care instructions.
