Belleview police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two suspects who allegedly stole from a local business last month.
According to the Belleview Police Department, the two suspects were captured on video surveillance footage at a business located on the north side of the city, in the area of Highway 441/SE 102nd Place, shortly after 5:20 a.m. on December 16, 2024.
BPD stated that one of the suspects noticed a Ring camera and asked, “What’s that thing for?” Moments later, the camera informed the suspect that he was being recorded.
“We’re not making this up,” said BPD in a social media post. “Watch the footage for yourself.”
A week and a half later, on December 27, 2024, the suspects returned to the business at 1:07 a.m. and allegedly committed the theft.
No further details were provided by police regarding the item(s) that were stolen from the business.
