With heavy hearts, the children of Joyce Marie Greblick announce her passing on January 17, 2025, in Ocala, Florida. Born November 16, 1938, in Johnson City, New York, Joyce was the beloved daughter of Chester and Mary (Krisko) Sinicki.
She grew up in Binghamton, New York, where she attended St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic School and Binghamton Central High School. She was voted class vice president and prom queen and met her future husband, Robert Greblick, there at age 15. The two were married in Binghamton on September 19, 1959.
Joyce graduated first in her class from Broome Community College and began her career as a dental hygiene teacher in the public school system. She later earned a bachelor’s degree in education and taught in the Binghamton school district, where she was loved by her students and colleagues. After relocating to Ocala, Florida, in the late 1990s, Joyce transitioned to real estate, earning her broker’s license, and building a successful career. “Joyce’s Choices” became her signature slogan.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Robert Arthur Greblick. She leaves behind a loving legacy in her six children, whom she affectionately called her “six good kids”: daughters Cheryl (Steve) Vicinanza and Kathleen (David) Chamberlain, and sons John (Jan), Daniel, David (Jill), and Tom (Coleen) Greblick
She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, her sister Phyllis (Tom) Fiato, and countless extended family and friends who were touched by her warmth, kindness, and beautiful smile.
Joyce loved bluebirds and cardinals, rainbows and sunsets, jokes, and smiles, and, most of all, people. She was always ready to chat with a new face and made everyone feel like an old friend. She touched many hearts and will be deeply missed.
A funeral Mass for Joyce will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mark the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 7081 SE Hwy 42, Summerfield, FL 34491.
