The first Planet Smoothie in Ocala has officially opened its doors within the Market Street at Heath Brook shopping plaza.
The new shop celebrated its grand opening at 4414 SW College Road, Suite 320, on Friday, April 3.
The menu at Planet Smoothie features over 30 smoothies and bowls made with fruit and “lower calorie, lower sugar, and higher protein options,” according to the company’s website. Available fruits include mangos, peaches, bananas, oranges, lemons, strawberries, and pineapples, among others.
In addition to the smoothies and bowls, the business also offers daily shots of wheatgrass, ginger, or “power” (which is a combination of wheatgrass, ginger, and lemon).
The standalone Planet Smoothie mark’s the franchise’s first location in Ocala, joining approximately 169 other Planet Smoothie sites across the United States.
Other regional locations are also currently under development in Gainesville and Saint Augustine.
The Ocala location operates from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.
The new Planet Smoothie joins several other businesses that have opened new spaces at the popular Market Street at Heath Brook recently.
In fact, the new smoothie shop is situated right between Great Greek Mediterranean Grill and Crumbl, both of which opened in the plaza over the past two years.
Just a few doors down from Planet Smoothie, Kilwins Ice Cream and Men’s Wearhouse both opened new locations over the past year as well.
